Chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq calls it quits
LAHORE – Inzamam-ul-Haq has Wednesday called it quits as Pakistan cricket chief selector after Pakistan failed to qualify for the World Cup 2019 semi-finals.
While addressing a presser at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Inzamam-ul-Haq said he will leave the selection committee after his contract is over on July 30. The Pakistan Cicket Board (PCB) has decided to bring forth new faces in the management, he told.
The former captain maintained that he would accept the board’s offer if he is chosen for another role. A good team was selected for the World Cup which defeated both the finalists, he stressed.
Let it be known that Pakistan had finished at number five in the recently held World Cup 2019 in England and Wales.
